it's the shape of the tip tht makes the difference. Now, Cliff identified there wss a problem. Their solution? They introduced the CL13841 Jack which has reshaped contact detents. But these parts are special order and cost more, and know that their standard jacks are already a fortune. This was the thing that drove me nuts. They found a design flaw, they fixed it and they charge the user more for that? Plus they still make the one that has the potential contact problem, and that's the one that's on their website, not the improved one. These jacks cost close to a buck each, they do not give quantity discounts. Whether you buy 100 (their minimum) or 50,000...it's the same price. It's cwazy. --- In PLAN_B_analog_blog@yahoogroups.com, James Cigler <jamescigler@...> wrote: > > Hi Peter, > What is it about the Doepfer cables, with the larger connector bodies, that make them work better with Cliff Jacks? > > Is the actual plug thicker?
