I wonder how practical the Mini Milton panel layout will be.

The circular arrangement looks good and somehow more "neutral" than 4+4 
arrangement. (I have even seen a DIY sequencer with 4+4+4+4 arrangement 
for 16 steps. That is not neutral at all: It seems to indicate, 
that "techno" music must be made with the device, if you understand 
what I mean.)

However, I would assume, that having jacks inside the circle of knobs 
will cause problems with cable clutter - especially if the unit is 
vertically mounted. Or course, there is the Buchla sequencer which also 
has circular arrangement, but there are no jacks inside.
