Mini Moog vst plug in

Mini Moog vst plug in

2006-10-06 by Mark

Hi
Seems that most of you don't like samples and vst plugins but this one
seems pretty good to me, but I don't have a real one to compare it to.
Works well with a VST host and midi keyboard.

well, there are those that feel anything created with synthedit is dross.
i am not saying that i agree or that it's a valid statement, just that
some people feel that way.

i have the arturia minimoog, and i have very few complaints, and i do
own a real mini also.

just my off-topic opinion.

I own a Minimoog and I think the Minimonsta soft synth from G-Media kicks seriously...

If it sounds good, it is good (I forget... maybe the duke who said this originally?)

Both the Voltkitchen MinimogueVA and Arrpe2600VA are exceptional free
VSTi's; as good as any of the commercial versions.

I'll give them a go but my experience of many of the plug ins available is
that they often miss small but important details of the original. In the case
of the MiniMoog it is often the odd behaviour of the envelopes that go
unnoticed they are ADSD (three controls Attack Decay Sustain, with Decay being used
for initial Decay and Release). The envelopes also do not reset to zero so
with the right settings a pseudo touch sensitivity can be obtained. One
expensive plug in I tried didn't even come close!

I sometimes wonder if some (not all) plug in producers have ever used the
instruments they are trying to emulate...
