Andy, I know exactly what you mean about the Tony Levin Electric Cello
- when I was at Streetly a few weeks ago Martin played me that and the
Sad Strings (individually and combined) and I was completely blown
away by them both, especially the electric cello. Extremely powerful
with a nice deep rasp, and a very even timbre across the whole
keyboard. It, and the Sad Strings, are now high up on my list of tapes
to get in the future.

Boys Choir is another one I'm aiming to get one of these days. When I
went recently I picked up a new tape frame as well, including MkII
Piano and Italian Accordion, which were also tuned. The Piano is still
other-worldly and atmospheric as usual (works a treat with a touch of
reverb too) and the Italian Accordion in particular is gorgeous - it's
fast becoming one of my favourite sounds.

I'll drink to that - incidentally, having seen and fallen in love with
the M4000 prototype, all I shall say is this, to the lucky devils
among you who have one on order: to say that you are in for an
absolute treat is understatement of the year!
