RE:Patrick Moraz's MK-V Novatron...Sold !
2006-08-08 by Jerry Korb
Greetings Mellotronists, Thank you all for your excellent responses since my announcement of 28-July. MK-V Moraz-O-Tron is sold ! A couple of days ago, a deal was finalized between its current/future owner. This means I gotta move my arse and get the beastie finished. Cabinet is left as-is to retain provenance of the YES/Moodies/Moraz years......and geez, there's a LOT of provenance ! But not as bad as the FripperTron MK-II . JB also provided his initials inside, dated 24-April-1981 . Clearly seen , written with yellow china marker. As mentioned last week, it retains most original electronics, except the pan controls were removed, and MXR Phaser installed integral to preamp/control panel. RH keyboard has orig. 105 Moraz/Moodies FX, which can be heard on "Long Distance Voyager" and "Rime......Sampler." LH keyboard has YES Violin phrases, Moog Brass (earlier version), and std. Cello. You can see PM playing the beastie on Moodies' DVD "Legend Of A Band , 'The Voice. ' " Best Regards from the Mellotron Ranch, -- Jerry and Mali
