Is this the one that is now the Half-a-tron?
I believe this is the one Norm Leete is playing on his web pages and is currently owned by Zohar Cohen in Israel (hopefully in a safe region!). Dunno the S/N.

It is. Thought the Genesis machine belonged to an ex-list member in the States? It wasn't the one Robert Webb cut in half, anyway.

I thought it was reputed to be owned by an ex member as well (Andy somebody?). I also thought it was supposed to be the white one in Franks book but I never been sure about this as it doesn’t look like it’s been painted by a roadie with a brush and it has the “Mellotron” logo on the lid. It looks like at some stage in 72-73 Banks keyboard rig got hand-painted white to match the rest of the set (somewhere just before the last Rainbow gig before SEBTP was released) but there are pics where the organ and pianet are white but the MkII isn’t from earlier in the tour. Not noted for throwing old gear away Banks still has the old white organ. I saw an interview with him just a few years ago with it in the background either in his home or his studio. Shame he’s not on the list anymore as I’d like to know how he got that machine and what proof he has that it’s the old Genesis one.
