RMI has officially been announced at ProgWest. Now you can see a
really fuzzy picture of duncan.

I'm that fuzzy in real life; the picture's fine. isn't it, martin?

we've been offered two 400's, possibly. one belongs to greg walker and the
other to gene stopp, one of the brave souls who took on the maintenance of
keith emerson's big moog when it came out of retirement. so I'll be taking
the salley/streetly new standard tape set.
hah!

duncan/400nr1098 which, in common with mr al-fayed, can't get a passport.
damn.

Ok, now I'm hooked on this.....I've been listening to Small Frozen
North over and over for the last hour. I simply must have more of
this in my collection. Is most of RMI's music similar to this?

My impression is that it sounds kind of like the parts of APP's "I
Robot" mixed with liberal amounts JMJ's Oxygene part 2 (or is it 4?).

All I know is this is going on my CD's-to-be-bought list!

Maybe a bit of TD's "Canyon Dreams" in there, too. =)

Wonderful stuff!

"sfn"'s a personal favourite of mine; steve used to do all the editing (we
record straight to two-track most of the time) but sometimes he'd throw me a
few scraps and say "have a practice on that". "sfn" was made from a session
that was supposed to complete the suite but instead we rang gary up and asked
him to join the band again. so I made this "short" piece and made a little
video for it.
so- it's contemporaneous, for what it's worth, with most of the rest of
"frozen north" and comes after "god of electricity" and before "gulf" and
"republic".

d./400nr1098, similar to 1097 and 1099, wherever they are.
