My son went to see them. They wheel it out halfway through and talk about
it's appeal. Terrific!

This is great!

I don't follow the Strokes, but its nice to see this happening more
and more. ...a band from a "younger generation" appreciating, using
and even gigging! with a Melltron... ("younger" than compared to, for
example, bands from the late 60s and thru the 70s...).

I like going to gigs and seeing bands using the real "things" when it
comes to instruments (be it a B3, a Minimoog, Rhodes, etc. and of
course a 'Tron)

Regarding the "older" generation, did Paul McCartney us a Mellotron
on a recent tour?

I know that J.M. Jarre has used (I think) a 300 recently.

Who else is gigging with real Mellotrons these days?

I forget who the band was, but someone used one during the 'Live 8' show.
