Half a Mark 2

Half a Mark 2

Hang on a minute! What's to stop you putting a set of Mark 2
rhythms/fills into an M400. Only one station admittedly. Or am I
missing something?
(Very probably.)
Steve.

Now that would be one helluva drum machine.
Forget all those Roland TR808s and 909s :)

Greetings Steve and gang, Sorry mate, Streetly has "been there
and done that " in 2000. Fritz Doddy has an M400 tapeframe
with the unusual combination of Adrian Belew guitar and MK-II Dixieland
rhythmns. We heard/saw it in Toronto-2000. Was hilarious !

Cheers, --JK--

No- I mean a multi-station single keyboard version of the MK2 with all
the same knobs etc. plus maybe digital verb option and good
magnetically shielded speakers( a surround system?) in a gorgeous
wooden finish:)

Correction Prof!! Chris Dale has that tape frame. I merely did my best
to pull the comedy out of the tapeframe by ridiculous improvization.

And a wonderful show it was too!!
I'm sorry we didn't videotape it!

And I still support Fritz's idea for the Ethel Merman / Axl Rose choir
sound!

Chris

Re: [Mellotronists] Half a Mark 2

2006-02-17 by Mattias

Hey hey Club Kids.

I have together with Markus started to put together sets with Mark I and II
rhythms and fills for my machines...

So far I have the Woodwinds, swinging flutes and the Moving violins and
cello. And they sound truly amazing. There are some snippets at my site (as
always).
And some new pics of yours truly...

http://www.roth-handle.nu/instruments/replay_mellotron400.htm

Scroll down to the sounds...Criborne playing Moving strings...

This is all for the next AK-momo ( my all Mellotron, Orchestron, Optigan,
Chilton Talentmaker, Chamberlin Rhythmate band) album.

Best regards,

Mattias

Mattias,

Mitch Froome and Neil Finn were /are both fond of the moving strings sound.
Neil uses tons of either Tron or sampled in his music. I have it sampled into
my Triton Pro X. I like it.
