I've noticed that a few messages have arrived that are not intended for the entire list(or it seems that way) and this could prove ultimately embarrasing!

Best,

Martin

Hey Martin and John,
Being from the Birmingham area did Steve Winwood ever buy a Mellotron or have you associated with him at some time?

Dear Ches, (and all!)

Steve Winwood certainly used a Mellotron in the Traffic days, but he is
currently of the opinion that they are merely amusing old bits of nostalgic
junk! His engineer is a good friend of mine and has converted the
Netherturkdonic Studios to purely digital systems using Pro-Tools and a
Digidesign desk. Any 'Tron used here is likely to be "virtual" although mine
is always at his disposal. Now stop wallowing in the past and check out
www.s-club.co.uk for some up to date (ish!) 'Tron usage!!

Up yer bums!

Shameless self-promotion (although the product is rather good...)

Ches,

If Colin Crawford had not asked him whether he would do a track for the Rime CD, there probably would not have been a Rime CD.  He sais he would but complications prevented it.  Steve used Mellotron quite a bit with Traffic and Colin still tunes his piano(s).

God, do I feel old! I was 19 when I saw him play it live at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. and I remember when he BOUGHT his first Hammond!

Speaking as one who is well acquainted with embarassment: nah,
looks ok to me.

PS Rodney sends his regards. They had 15 different kinds the last time we
