M300 sounds and McDonald flute

Who here owns an M300 or has M300 sounds in their MKII/MKIV?

Has the Ian McDonald flute sound been used on any well known albums yet?

Well known? You got me there. I don't know if anyone in the mainstream
of music has caught up that far with the sounds available for 'trons.

<shameless plug>
But we used the IM flute on our "Soundtracks For Imaginary Movies"
album (Dec 2004). It will be back again on our upcoming "Codetalkers"
release. Played as always by our in house tronlord Mike Dickson.

M300 strings on M400. Has to be fairly near the top of the list of sounds
you need to have if you are into Gentle Giant...

The M300 flute sound appears to be getting ignored by mellotronists,
any particular reason for this?

Woolly Wolstenholme and Oasis have used it.

Yeah I guess the tron flute heard on early Gentle Giant and Earth &
Fire will also be the M300 as well but, i'm meaning after the M300 got
replaced by the MKIV, from the point where people could choose which
sounds they wanted.

I didn't know Oasis used it, which track(s)?

I have an M300 but the only original sound on it is the B violins. The rest
are MkII/M400 including the McDonald Flute.
