A tiny little jewel

A tiny little jewel

2006-01-08 by ceccles_ca

Brian Eno did some of the Windows 95 sounds. (The 3.5 second start-up
sound). Now Robert Fripp has been hired by Microsoft to do sounds for
Windows Vista. For 3.5 second sounds, he is likely being paid fairly
well per second.

There is a video clip here... (useless video but the audio may be of
interest).

This bodes well. Could the next release have sounds by
Fripp *AND* Eno???

Well, yeah, if it's anything like "Healthy Colours,"
even that would be too long.

Dear All,

Weird but true - I had some quality time with Eno's old Prophet VS recently
and that had some very good sounds in it. Some were labelled Windows, Windows1
 etc...

Just as long as it only lasts for three and a half seconds as well.
