Top Tron Moments....

Top Tron Moments....

Moody Blues 'Every Good Boy Deserves Favour'

In the wonderfully pretentious 'Procession', as they chronicle
the history of the universe in music and grunts (Desolation!....
Creation!), there's a moment (at about 4:15) where a grandios
church organ morphs into Mellotron.... it only lasts about 10
seconds, that's always given me the shivers. It's sort of the
ultimate awakening to me.

Pinder at his pinacle.

This is one of my favorite all time Mellotron moments also. Occasionally I'll fire up the the M400, hit a chord and "morph" between St. John Wood Church Organ and String Section. Sounds nice and full. I believe Mr. Pinder's morph was done at the mixing board. Morphing is much easier on the M400 than the MKII.

Thanks for bringing that back Bob! The tribal drums are e-drums...
amazing for the time. The tron following the church organ is truly a
great moment. When we were 14 we would sing along... "fornic-aaa-
tion", "master-baa-aa-tion" (thanks for sharing that Clay).

"In My First Mind" on Steve Miller's "Children Of The Future" album.
Very nice stereo recording of tron strings. May be 2 trons with
overlapping parts. Lots of chordal movement.
