Having an EMI under my roof was a goal some time ago. Was impressed upon seeing the nice wooden cabinet of two EMI-400's (Dave Shapiro from our list, and Dave Amels of my former NJ home-town) . When I bought Felix Pappalardi's Tron in NYC from his former mgr, that led to my finding an M300. In turn , that led me to "Julia" (Robert Laughton / Gordon Reid ). Shall I refuse an EMI only because someone on eBay thinks it's a "kit?" .....NADA...... Long-live the unicorn ! ( EMI, 4-Track , Robert Webb/Gordon Reid's Half-A-Tron , JKMK6 , J-Tron and more......)
