Blocked Websites

Blocked Websites

I would like to know just what's so subversive about Ken Leonard's
website that it's blocked in China? Same with the Streetly
Electronics Tape Library website. What did you folks do to piss off
the Chinese government?

You are only allowed nostalgia for the great revolution and the chairman.
Otherwise, we must all look forward.

I think just harboring evil Libertarian thoughts will get you into
China's Hate Club, and I'm fine with that.

Let's see.....Libertarian......Liberty......nope, that can't be it. I
just did Chinese Google searches for Libertarian, Statue of Liberty
and finally Liberty. Liberty is supposed to be blocked on Google, but
I got plenty of hits. You must have done something else besides
thinking those evil Libertarian thoughts, Ken. Maybe you insulted the
delivery guy?

One sad note: I havent found any Trons here yet (although I'm still
looking). And there doesn't seem to be a Chinese word for Mellotron
(yet).

FWIW (which admittedly isn't much), I know of no Chinese Mellotron users.

I've heard about a Mellotron CD of Deng Lijun (Theresa Teng) songs,
but have yet to find it. She was Taiwanese, but was very popular on
the mainland, in Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand. She could speak and
sing fluently in five or six languages, including English.

You mean Wing doesn't use one?

Apparently if you play "Improvised Waves" backwards, there's
a "subversive-subliminal" message in Chinese.
You're a true patriot, Ken!

I'm surprised. Maybe they block things based on keywords that the site
cointains.

Would that be 'Merrotron', or is that Japanese?
