I'm convinced it's two or more sizes, but prob.not bass - you may be right
re.different types.

Do you have 'Divisions on a Ground'?

You saw Gryphon? (Thompson turns an unpleasant shade of deep green with
envy).

One of those 'great at everything' people. I hate him.

My recorder has the range of an octave and a sixth,
maybe it's an alto on top.

No. Only Red Queen....I just recently found a CD copy
of it. Seeing Brian Guillame (sp?) walk out on stage
before the lights went up was the single strangest
silhouette ever on a rock concert stage. Rock bassoon!

Yes....the OPENER was PFM!!! It was at Allen Field
house in Topeka Kansas....1975 or 76..I can't
remember. Gryphon were just amazing...and I will
never forget that recorder solo for a lifetime. It got
the kind of response usual saved for "heroic" rock
guitar solos. Prog has it's moments.
