I have always battled with demons when it comes to flying. The last few months have done nothing to help and Mr Exploding Boot was another nail in the coffin. I also know a very senior pilot for a major airline and he can't wait to retire as he feels there isn't a security net tight enough to secure passenger safety and he now feels apprehensive before every flight.
As a direct result of this, M Smith will not be travelling to the Americas by air in the forseeable future . This is an absolutely personal thing and is obviously phobia related and illogical (probably) BUT it is real to me and I'd rather not continuously have to get pissed to get on a plane.
This year is going to be a busy one for JB and myself as we have PLANS. Cunning plans of mindboggling complexity....or pehaps just plans. We also have mountains of work and perhaps our efforts would be best employed staying on top of our commitments at home.
I'm sure a good social event could still be arranged by all the previous attendees and for once you'll have to pretend we are there. Fritz does a good English accent.
Best to all,
Martin

I suggest we all descend on Upper Greater Blithbury on July 15th, at 9:00 a.m. to personally wish Martinge and JB a happy St. Swithun's Day (the patron saint of all things mellotronic)! What do you say? Chez Smith now boasts a conservatory where we can all sleep for the night and have pillow fights and everything...

I'd rather not continuously have to get pissed to get on a plane.I didn't realise that was your excuse - how often do you fly, anyway?!
I'm sure a good social event could still be arranged by all the previous attendees and for once you'll have to pretend we are there. Fritz does a good English accent.
Well, for the good of the cause, I selflessly nominate myself to go in your stead, paid for by Streetly of course. :-) Haven't been across the water for a few years...Andy T.

Far too late in the day. Between 5.00 and 6.00 would be far more appropriate.

are critisized for protecting their ship! How long will it be before that
