mention the first use of a sampled tape on a recording as being
performed by Hugh LeCaine in 1955 on a song "Dripsody".

Although it appears to be a custom one-off, possibly not dissimilar to the
infamous German 'choir-organ', as used by Amon D\ufffd\ufffdl II.
