Moodies...

2005-02-10 by jonesalley

I finally got around to listening to the "lost" Moody Blues 1972 live recording mentioned on the group a couple of weeks ago.
Wow. What an experience it is to listen with the ears I have today. I am stunned at how musically ambitious those guys were, and fascinated by the way the performance unfolded, with technical issues, playing issues and occasional sublime moments sprinkled through the mix. I don't have the patience to go back through the posts to find who it was that mentioned it, but thank you, whoever you are. It was an amazing trip back in time.

Greetings, all...

... Well I'll be dammed... it looks like YouTube has removed the
Moodies Dutch TV concert, circa 1969,from their files... I checked my
favorites... and they're gone! Oh Well... not to worry... for those
who want to see them... and download them... check this out:

... If they're not there... they're history!!!

Good Luck...

I love their performance of Never Comes the Day... Especially the end when Mike Pinder causes the train wreck ending (twice)... But you know, it was a new song at the time... Its also cool to see that even the best screw up every now and then...
