Interesting title to Track 6....
The new Porcupine Tree album Deadwing is scheduled for release on March 21st by Lava Records / Warner Music. Recorded between March-October, the album has been mixed in both stereo and 5.1 versions. Once again the 5.1 mix was done in collaboration with Grammy award winning producer Elliot Scheiner.

There are guest appearances by Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth, and Adrian Belew of King Crimson. The final track listing of the 60 minute album is:

1. Deadwing
2. Shallow
3. Lazarus
4. Halo
5. Arriving Somewhere But Not Here
6. Mellotron Scratch
7. Open Car
8. The Start of Something Beautiful
9. Glass Arm Shattering

Interesting... Mr.Wilson's played 'Tron on several PT albums, not to mention IEM, Opeth etc. Still need to be convinced they're all real, though.

Andy,
I saw Porcupine Tree a couple of years ago when they opened for Yes. Real Mellotron onstage. I was shocked.
I also have a MicroKorg. It sits on top of my Mellotron as well. Often I filter the tron through the vocoder. Very cool.

Wait a minute. Let me get this straight: real mellotron, Yes and they
were together in the same place? Are you telling us the MELLOTRON
SURVIVED? Did Wakeman not notice it or something???

Where was this, Frank? Did anyone here lend/hire them the machine?
BTW, taking #1145 down into central London in a little while for Robert Webb of the mighty England's 50th birthday bash. Sems his original 'halfatron' is being renovated at Streetly - hope to get pics in the new year.
