I picked up the Lamb on CD a while ago.... 22 years ago.

Nick Davis has completed the 5.1 mix of The Lamb. This mix is
scheduled for release in September, 2004 on the thirtieth anniversary
of its original release.

Not sure if it's SACD or DVD-A. I don't know much about these
formats. Why would I want a DVD-A?

Well this sounds great news
(even though I don't have any equipment to play it on :-)

but now at least we'll be able to hear all the synth
parts properly in THE COLONY OF SLIPPERMEN
and all those bits where Eno makes everyone go all
wibbly like a porcupine

It's still a quite brilliant work that never ages to these ears! I'm so
lucky to have seen it preformed live at the beautiful Auditorium Theatre in
Chicago just weeks before Gabriel left the band.

try reading this:
http://www.sound.westhost.com/cd-sacd-dvda.htm
it may confuse more than clarify...

my intial thought was: i can play a DVD-A on my DVD player
and it's purpose is to use my current surround setup to get
multuchannel audio playback, whereas SACD requires a special
player... looks like i am wrong about DVD-A...

Dear All,

Probably one of the best concerts I have ever seen.

Although Peter Gabriel did quite a good job a couple of weeks ago with his Still Growing Up Tour...

I agree with Norm, def one of the best ever concerts I have seen. Gabriel is a huge talent and I look forward to seeing him again soon. His solo stuff is on par with the best that is currently around, in my opinion. My only complaint is that we don't see more of the British talent here, as I have always preferred them.

Then try Woolly's new album! Ask Mr Stickle for a review.
