Procol Harum's 1967 classic "A Whiter Shade of Pale" has been named as the
most-played record of the past 70 years in the United Kingdom, according
to British performing rights group PPL.


i think i saw them live once many many years ago...
they might have opened up for kansas?
[or all the chemicals have left false-concert-memory errors?]

        ++ I can see why. It's a great song.  I saw them in 1973 as the lead
act in a three band bill.  Renaissance, Dave Mason, and Procul Harum.  Don't
remember much, as I wasn't familiar with their catalog at the time.
