To the list administrator: do you have a policy about spammers here? could you do something with messages like this? (filter rules, for example...?) Im being tired of such shit on my mailbox. In other lists, one to three spam messages from a user mean his/her being fired from the list. If you have already done something, please ignore and excuse this message, but this is the 4\ufffd or 5\ufffd message of this kind I have read in the list. Thanks and best regards. Nacho. As always, excuse my bad english. El mi\ufffd, 23-06-2004 a las 22:57, tzbyry101 escribi\ufffd:

Yes, I forcibly remove them from the list immediately. > could you do something with messages like this? (filter rules, > for example...?) No I can't. Yahoo groups is a large, well known service. It has a number of very good spam protection mechanisms, but sufficently motivated spammers will work around those mechanisms. Such is life. > Im being tired of such shit on my mailbox. When you forward the spam to the list you multipy the problem. Please don't do that. -- Don -- Don Tillman Palo Alto, California don@... http://www.till.com

Rule #1: Spammers lie. Rule #2: If a spammer seems to be telling the truth, see Rule #1. Rule #3: Spammers are stupid. Rule #4: The natural course of a spamming business is to go bankrupt. these are not advertising sent by yahoo. they are cretinous criminals polluting our groups. when i see spam in one group i know it's only a matter of hours before i see the exact same spam in another group. btw: stop apologizing for your "bad english" okay? you re doing just fine so do not mention it again! > > If you have already done something, please ignore and excuse this > > message, but this is the 4 or 5 message of this kind I have read in > > the list. > > > > Thanks and best regards. > > > > Nacho. > > > > As always, excuse my bad english. > > > Or this messages are sent by yahoo (or similar) to all yahoo list > members? > > Nacho. > ======================================================== mailto:jeffc@... http://www.netaxs.com/~jeffc/ ======================================================== "Since at the beginning and end of our lives we are so dependent on others' kindness, how can it be that in the middle we neglect kindness towards others?" - Tenzin Gyatso - His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama ========================================================
