OT, I know....but I am having trouble with this. ASR-10 is supposed to
read Akai sample format. Can't find anything in the manual , just yet.

Can anyone help?
Thanks,

Linda

you need the "version 3.0 operating system" manual.
[and, of course, version 3 or higher of the os along with
the scsi card {and compatible scsi cdrom drive} too...]

in short:
command
instrument
scroll with < > to find "import non-asr sounds"
enter
select device type = akai [*or roland if that's what you want]
select the scsi id of the drive containing the akai disc
from there it's pretty obvious...
[find the partition/volume/program you want to load...]

...jeff

tip: i save mine after importing to another scsi drive
attached to my asr - lots easier that going through
the process every time i need a single program off
a cdrom... [an asr will only recognize up to a 2 gig
scsi drive attached to the scsi port however]
