Cutting Tape

Hi folks,
Although I don't cut tape anymore, the training and PATIENCE it taught me
are invaluable. At work we are all computerized, with just a single 24-track
machine for library stuff. Kids these days indeed! I can't tell you how
many times I have had to ask younger studio rats to redo an edited piece
because of shoddy work done on a computer! Cutting tape is like building a
watch, you just don't know if it'll work until it's all together, so you
better do it right the first time. It will drive you to drink though.
