[Mellotronists] newsgroup problems

2002-02-11 by Robert Webb

Dear Mellotron friends,

I'm afraid that I can no longer support this newsgroup.

1) There are too many emails to 'wade through' each time I 'receive' my emails (this last batch contained 70, after just being away two days).

2) I dislike the idea that many emails require being online to open them. I can't support paying for a telephone facility just to read emails. (Aha! you say, well just read them off line --- but I can't: my email client (Outlook Express 5) will re-dail the internet every time I try to open the formatted ones.

Its a shame, because I enjoyed being part of the group and reading much of the info others had to offer. (Incidentally, I had this same problem with one of the Hammond newsgroups).

Happy tronning,

Robert W

PS If you ever revert to ordinary email newsgroup please someone let me know.

All you have to do is turn on the automatic email then just read them from Yahoogroups.com!!! Then you won't get emailed! If you havent been to the site all you have to do is come up with a password. It will recognise you! We don't want you to go away just for that reason!
