Trade Rime for Samples?

Trade Rime for Samples?

2003-09-11 by dwalton424@aol.com

I have a spare copy of Rime of the Ancient Sampler that I'd love to trade for
a cd of samples recorded from someone's MKII or 400. Would like high quality
all notes full duration of 3violins, flute and 8v choir. Anything that can
be loaded into Kurzweil (wav files) would be fine. I have several commercial
CD's (including the Pinder) and a couple of "home made" discs. Each has it's
own peculiar charm. I am talking about one-off samples from your tron, NOT
illegal copies of commercial discs. Thanks.
D.

I must tell you-I am intrigued. I've heard about that Rime Of The Ancient Sampler disk from someone many moons ago from someone that raved about it.

However, not having a real 'Tron, in my case is a bit of a problem....

I have a few rare items from my analog collection-(Good to Fair-Currently looking for replacements now.), that I would be willing to trade for the same thing.
(Minus needing to lug a 'Puter mainframe, monitor, and tape deck around of course.)

I would guess that is the 'nature of the beast' when it comes to the sampling CD's.

There's everything from the AKAI standard to the Roland, 'Sound Font'-(the one that I'm looking at.), ect, and the few (3) firms out there that have them.

Plus the tambre/tone that the 'Tron-or Chamberlin for that matter has. I guess the final equation in all of this is what sounds the most pleasing to your ears.

Naturally, I have a weakness for the Moody Blues/'Pinder sound, because that's the first one that I can recall... ;)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
