<<Admittedly the gigs I support are usually one-shot affairs close to home,

fair weather my arse. I've got video footage of your bloody fair weather! ;-)

we've taken ours on a boat a couple of times, and bounced it around the UK
and holland in various sorts of vans and cars. it went under the channel too,
once, with andy's next to it. I think I'd draw the line at flying it these days,
at least unless I had an anvil case.
no, we've only seen one lot of misbehaviour on stage and on that cold night
we were able to borrow a similar-sound frame from andy's newly-streetlyfied
1145 which was shivering in the cold car-park of jodrell bank planetarium. and
adrian air-sculpture had a total failure at the same venue, but then he didn't
used to look after his machine and wouldn't let anyone else do it either.
serves him right.

And I stupidly tried to get the frame out (eventually succeeding) with the
machine *on its back*. Not recommended. :-)

On a follow-up to a previous message, I'm now going to Anglagard's Belgian
gig with *two* of the buggers, plus owner of the other machine.
