New sounds...

Dear All,
Recently a very enjoyable day with John and Martin sorting out tapes and sounds etc. and ended up ordering some new sounds from them on one of their splendid new frames.
Anyway it seems like there is a new string sound now available for the first time after spending many years abandoned on a master tape. We wondered whether the series of takes were unused as they were rather soft and restrained. Martin has taken the set of takes and edited onto tapes that are now in a MkII alongside 12 violins.
The contrast between 12 violins and the new takes is amazing but there is a definite place for the new ones which is why my order is already in!!!!!!!!
The rest of the time was spent in hand-to-hand combat with a couple of SSCUs with multiple faults - it is at times like that when you realise the effort that goes into making a MkII work properly again.
