Looking for a mellotron

Looking for a mellotron

2003-05-21 by Doug Jones

Hello, everybody.

My name is Doug. I'm working for the Los Angeles Film Festival. One of the
events we're presenting this year is a live band accompanying a silent film.
This year it's Sparklehorse playing along with The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

We're trying to track down some equipment and, yep, you got it . . . we're
looking for a mellotron.

Can anyone make any suggestion where we can find one for loan or rental? The
Los Angeles area would be great, but we can cast our net wider if need be.

The date of the show is Saturday, June 14.

Obviously, we can pay a rental, arrange shipping, and, since we're a film
festival, I've got lots of movie tickets.

Thanks for your help. I'm open to any suggestions.

People can e-mail me back at dougjones100@... or call me at
310-432-1232.

Thanks,

Doug Jones

Hey Duncan I may get my wish to come true - already made contact and started
the arrangements. I've no idea who Sparklehorse is, but I'm an
equal-opportunity Mellotron lender especially if it gives me and the missus
an excuse to get out of the house once in a while. No info yet on tape set
requirements but I am hoping there's Cello involved. As you may well know.
It's a fetish I guess. Could be worse I suppose. Could have been TT choir.
