Hi all Mellotron knowlegeable ones!
Would you say in rock n roll that the Moodies were the first to use it
regularly?
Also any idea what was the first American band to use it regularly?

I am bereft! Seriously, though, I think most of us would agree that Graham
Bond was the first regular user (not precisely rock'n'roll, but nor were the
Moodies!). Leon Russell was one of the first Americans to use one with any
degree of regularity, although he also used a Chamberlin.

Thanks Andy-I knew you'd know-is there a way to do a search on your page
by date instead of artist/album?


Only by the time-honoured method using Windows' own Find/ctrl-F, then
putting dates in until one matches up! Trouble is, it isn't a database, just
an html list, and I don't really fancy the hassle involved in doing it as a
database, to be honest! Oh yeah - wasn't it Bobby Darin that owned a
Chamberlin in the '50s?
