Wasn't the late King Hussein of Jordan supposed to have owned a 400? Had this ever been confirmed?

I tried but was not able to confirm this. I am pretty good friends with
Queen Noor's brother (Noor, an American, was married to King Hussein),
who himself is a musician (the brother, not the King), and I asked him
whether or not the King had a mellotron. He laughed and said he didn't
think so! King Hussein was an interesting man...I wouldn't put it past
him. :)

This may be a little off topic, but...

Hussein may not have owned a Mellotron, but he sure had a lot of Harley
Davidsons. According to friends at the US Park Police here in DC, he and some
of his family and security personnel came here and picked up 15 or 20 Harleys
and then spent a week or two training with the Park Police Motor Unit (the
most well trained cycle cops in the world). Then he boxed them all up and
took them home.

Certainly the King was a man of diverse interests. My friends tell me that
King Hussein was a very nice guy and that he completed their training course.

Just thought this might be of interest

King Hussein, or Prince Hussein, as he then was, also owned a Messerschmitt bubble car (or, more accurately, "cabin scooter"--as they have tandem seating). It was rather a hot place to have a vehicle that is so prone to "vapour locking" (as I know from personal experience). Aidan
