Rich,

To be quite honest, I don't think Ian would be too happy if the sound
were sampled without his permission. Of course, this sort of stuff is
done all the time, but...

Just my opinion, of course.

1) A tape rack a few feet away from #805?  :-)

2) Martin's PC?  :-)

Being that this is one of the "newer" sounds, it's not available in sampled 
format (like the Pinder CD) that I know of.

I do not know the copyright/licensing implications of resampling and using 
these newer sounds (or even the old ones for that matter, but that's been 
done to death), but that brings up a very good question...and I'm not goin' 
there.  :-)

Dear All,

My understanding was that this was a sound that was "not to be converted to samples under any circumstances" so a digital rendition should't be available.

Anyway to sample it would miss the point as it would become as sterile as any other Mellotron sample.

However it is still one of the best "new" sounds available and is the flute I use all the time unless someone specifically wants the original...
