Streetly EMI Tapes

Hi fellow Tronsters, Yesterday I received two new sets of EMI tapes on new frames from Streetly Electronics: MKII Violin/MKII Brass/Ian McDonald Flute and Les Bradley Orchestra/Gothic/Russian Choir, and I just wanted to rave about them. The sound quality of the older sounds is still as good as ever and the new sounds are exceptional. Tapes don't last forever. If you've never replaced your original tapes or you purchased a used Tron within the last few years and don't know how old the tapes are that came with it, you have no idea how good your Tron can sound or how much better it will play. Mine play like new machines (I bought #500 new) and I haven't even adjusted the keyboards yet to account for the thicker tapes (yes, as they wear, they get thinner, lose oxide and lose sound). The EMI tape upgrade that Martin and John are offering is a great deal and I highly recommend you take advantage of it. If you're as lazy as I am, get yourself a set on one of the new frames they just made. Give yourself and your loved one a nice Christmas/holiday present (OK, then get her something nice, too).
