Mellotron Project CD Update

Mellotron Project CD Update

2002-12-08 by kenmerb@aol.com

Hi everyone,

I finally got around to uploading the latest batch of MP3s for the
Mellotron Project CD. Sorry it took so long.

Here's the link to the page with the songs. The new songs are towards
the bottom of the page:

http://www.tronsounds.com/projectsongs.htm

In this update, we have submissions from the Sunday Club, Victor
Berridge and Charles Thaxton. This is truly turning into an international
effort, as SundayClub is from the U.K., Victor Berridge is from Switzerland
(and two of his songs are in French), and Charles Thaxton is from Ohio, but
his music has more of an "outer space" feel to it.

This group of songs is very interesting, musically, and all feature
the
Mellotron, of course. The project seems to be progressing from a musical
point of view, although it has been a painfully slow process due to the
scarcity of submissions.

The recording quality varies (some of these came to me on cassette),
but I think you will enjoy them.

Ken M.

PS - Victor, if you are out there, please send me some more details about
your songs so that I can include them on the web site.

I don't know about "outer space" Ken. The track Full Circle is very,
very good! Well done. Maybe Hackett came in to do the sustain
guitar bits. "Full Circle" bottom of Ken's page....check it out!

No, not these tunes. I was actually referring to the write up of Charles'
other music on his web site.

The track Full Circle is very,

Yes, I thought so too. The guitar parts were done by Larry Clark, per the
notes Charles sent me.
