good lord... I hope you c&p'd that and didn't spend ages typing it all out.
"accessory" indeed. it says more or less the same on the mussorgsky album...
where did I get the notion he had an orchestron? I also remember something
about him making his own tapes, maybe even loops, for his choirs....

If we talk about Mellotrons as accessories we might as well pitch in together and have some Mellotron earrings made. My wife would be all over those...

Gene,

It's been more than once you've mentioned your wife in positive overtones with regards to trons. She must be a real sweetheart. Does she have a sister?

Hi Frank,

Yeah she loves Mellotrons. I wouldn't ask her to help me load a Hammond, but
a tron is something her and I can easily load in and out of a truck. And she
really knows how to take off a Protect-O-Muff!

<I'm going to get myself into trouble...>

About the earrings thing - we like to go to airshows and she really loves to
see the Harrier (what is it about those Brits and their contraptions?) so
she has Harrier earrings so the Mellotron earrings thing is really not that
much of a stretch.

No sisters, however, one-of-a-kind I think.

Best Regards,

- Gene

harrier ear-rings and you reckon she's one-of-a-kind?

I'll name that motor in one: the pegasus. current harrier is some three times
more powerful than the original, and it's taken until now for anyone else to
design a practicable replacement for this "contraption". there was this
simpsons episode the other night, where play was made on the US-dependence on
this fine machine- I dunno exactly how much, but there must be some truth in
this. we do like inventing things over here- it's a shame we can't
legitimately lay claim to *all* of the clever stuff, like tape-replay
keyboards.... but we do have some quality engineers in the UK.
