Ted Taylor Choir

2002-11-15 by charel196

Once when I ordered new tapes for my old 400 #328...Dallas Arbiter
sent me the wrong brass(split trombones/trumpets when I ordered MKII
Brass) and choir, which was something called "Ted Taylor Choir" which
was awful IMO.Nothing at all like the standard 8 voice choir
sound.Anyone else have experience with that Taylor sound or it's
origins?? What were they thinking? Of course I returned the tape rack
and got the proper sounds.

Evening all,
Interesting point: we all know and love the **classic** Mellotron sounds, and most of us are familiar with the available range (as detailed on the Streetly website)
But how many others are there which are never supplied/ totally obscure? Martin?
Best regards
Paul Marshall
M400 #1380 (now part of a 'semi permanent' classic setup in a rehearsal room... Hammond M100/ 1900's German acoustic piano/ ARP Pro-Soloist/ Taurus pedals/ Mellotron.... lovely rig to play on :o)))) write out 100 times 'I must forget all those bits from The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway')

Hahahahaha!!! My mate Gary's got this one on one of his frames - bloody

Oh bollocks. That means I'll have to try to think of something to play on
the bloody thing. All assuming, that is, that he's still got it - it
might've been one of the ones he traded with Martin.

Er, sorry... Seems Gary got rid of it a while back. *However*, I have two of
the Moog sounds, before I replace the tapes with something useful. Might
these be of interest?

Gee, I don't know if folks out here---you know, us major 'tron
heads---would be interested in hearing the more obscure and not oft used
'tron sounds, stuff we may not have heard before, that kind of thing.

Naww, wouldn't be any interest, would there?

Naahhhh.

...kl...M400 #805, enough sarcasm for you? :-)
