Tron alert...

Tron alert...

2002-10-05 by MAinPsych@aol.com

Hi, y'all.

I was listening to the radio this morning for a replay of a on-air promo I
did yesterday with a band for our 4-0 Chargers, and while waiting (and
waiting and waiting...) heard a song with a female vocalist that had to have
used a tron in the chorus (string pads mixed alongside some other synth). As
usual the damned station didn't name the title or the artist, but some of the
hook lines were , "I gotta get outta this town", and "I'm going back to L.A."
on the last chorus. Has anyone else heard this song or suspected use of a
tron?

Frank,

A Google search turned up this:
 http://www.songlyrics.co.nz/lyrics/b/bethhart/lasong.htm

Is that it?

And, this reference from CDNow (where you can listen to a good sample of the tune) credits Patrick Warren as playing Chamberlain:

That's the one. It just came across as having that 'tronny' feeling...even
though it turned out to ba a Chamberlin. Thanks all.
