I've just joined

Hi gang! Just joined this group. I've been a tron user and owner since
1969! Have owned and used Mark II #123 and M400 #1285 on dozens of
records in both the US and UK. Just read the Mellotron book. Very
fascinating but the album list appears to be far from complete. Many
entries are missing. But still a great book. These days, my tron for
road tours with Edison Lighthouse is the G-Force "M-Tron" sitting in an
Apple Powerbook laptop within Cuebase and / or Digital Performer, with
all the tape catalogue present and accounted for. This surely beats
lugging around a Mark II (which I have always considered superior to
the 400 for sound quality). Although my Mark II was never a high scorer
in the reliability category and constant cycling problems occurred
every time I moved it for a show or record date, it still remains my
favorite of all the models manufactured.

Regards,
Les Fradkin

Dear Les/all

Hi gang! Just joined this group. I've been a tron user and owner since
1969! Have owned and used Mark II #123 and M400 #1285 on dozens of
records in both the US and UK. Just read the Mellotron book. Very

The list is a straight copy of the lists on Dave Kean's site, and my problem
with them isn't so much their incompleteness as their inaccuracy. I'm still
finding entries on it that are way off the mark - latest correction: Catorze
Bis - actually, 14 Bis (14 spelt Quatorze in Portuguese). Rather than
reprint Dave's list, a 'relatively well-known albums' list of a few hundred
may have served readers better (sorry, Frank).
