Moving Interstate

My wife & I (& M400 #1536) are moving 4300kms from Western Australia to Queensland to retire. I have to transport my spare Tape frame with everything else and would appreciate suggestions on the best way to do this considering it is such a fragile item on such a long road trip.

The guy who bought my Mellotron just took it apart and put it in his car. He wasn't travelling as far as you, but I think it would work. He took off the keyboard, tape frame and most of the side boards. By the time we were done, the main part was a motor and some electronics. They made it home just fine.
