Mellotron in "Blue Chaise" from the "American Analog Set"?

Hi,
Today while hearing a song called "Blue Chaise" by a group called
"American Analog Set" I noticed a line played in what could be mellotron
strings, just a short crescendo in minute 4:35 of this song... Has
anybody heard of this song and can comfirm this? It is very short but I
think it could be the real thing. If so, I just wonder why did they use
it that little :)
