Ilk is Frank II's new name. The recent resurgence in Frank confusion has
necessitated this step.

is that an updated motor controller card i see?
it appears to be a smaller form factor than the
dreaded stock CMC... well, you know...

that WOULD be a step in the right direction, all
other issues aside...

Yah, that looks like the same SMS-3 module as in my
'Tron. Good unit. Mounted wrong, of course (fins
should run vertical). BONUS- the tape spillbox is in
the original configuration, with lower brackets and
wedges for side support/positioning.
Looks like the power cord may be soldered in the
underside of the pwr. supply, as the AC pwr. jack is
taped over (for your protection).

the first thing i do when working on a mellotron
is replace the round british AC [mains] socket
with an IEC standard type. thought i have not yet
replaced this on my own m400, and i need to do
this to BOTH of my EMS synthis [i don't feel
comfortable working inside the synthi - it's
rather cramped in there, and i have to do some
filing to make the socket fit...]

apologies to martin, who ended up shipping me one
of those IEC sockets when i didn't understand
exactly what it was i needed when working on
a mellotron for someone... long and silly story.
sorry i made you do that martin :(
i'm just a total idiot sometimes...
