That appears to be a MkII with the top cover off just to the left of the modular Moog in the background.

Man, you have good eyes… But you are right. I blew up the photo and sure enough you can tell by the layout of the front switches (even as blurry as they are)…

One heckuva setup. Moog model 55 next to the MK2, and
the ARPs. Looks like a Theremin in the right
foreground. Got me drooling, for sure. Wow!!

You think that's a 55? Looks too silvery. My first take on it was Buchla
or PolyFusion.

This MKII was commissioned for his 1997 Oxygene 7 - 14 world tour.  If you get hold of the Live In Moscow DVD you will see him perform Souvenirs de Chine(?) on the old beast.  This particular MKII was the one I bought from Ray Thomas in 1989 and which led me to John B and the Streetly revival.  I upgraded to a MKI and we converted my MKII for stage use.  For nerd value, it has a perspex lid and internal lighting, fixed drums and two unique Jarre sounds, the Jarrotron and Jarre Orchestra.

I don't know anything about him or his music (other than that he has
lots of gear), but this looks like the spinet in those pics:
http://www.jarrography.free.fr/details_equipement_audio.php?id_equip=9

I guess he must like it, I count atleast four in there.

Re: [Mellotronists] is that a tron...

Grabbed my 3D glasses, and the scene came
alive...kinda. (now for some asprin).

The Moog Model 55 is the large 2 cab unit in the back
row, far left. The givaway is the 914 Fixed Filter
Bank in the left side of the upper cabinet. Dug out
my old sales brochure just to be sure. Yeah, it does
look silvery at an angle in the regular pic, but that
may be a reflection. What are the ones on each side
of the ARP 2600 in the middle?

One question...Where's Waldo? :-)
