Fw: [Mellotronists] Off topic - San Diego fires

I'm not the praying type, but I will tell you to stay safe and to remember that if you need a safe home for the Pindertron, I could be persuaded...

Greetings to all my fellow troniacs.

The main San Diego fire (there are 7 of them) is raging uncontrollably, and heading south perilously close to home, to the point that I'm gathering things in the event I have to evacuate my home/studio.  Many areas of San Diego have already been evacuated and many roads have been closed.  This is far worse than the devastating Cedar fire of 2003.

Any spare prayers would be appreciated.

No, I think the Dark Overlord is coming.

Off topic - San Diego fires UPDATE

2007-10-24 by MAinPsych@aol.com

For those interested/concerned:

As of this morning the worry was the largest (and nearest) of the fires, the Witch Creek fire, which fortunately has stalled from going south due to the high east-west Santa Ana winds.

NOW, the worry is the growing Harris fire to the south of my house, that has actually crept closer northward.

Still intact, but worried as hell with suitcases and important papers already in the car.

Good thinking Frank, he is to hoping that you and your gear remained packed and this situation does not require an escape!

From up here in the L.A. area, to Frank and others, my thoughts and best wishes. The sky here, too, has been dark - between gray and orange, with the ashfall happening. M-400 #1485 is safe however. I hope they catch the person/people who set the Orange Co. fires, and find the cause of ALL of 'em. An arrest was made this morning, I understand someone trying to set ANOTHER fire! He's also called a "person of interest" in the Arrowhead/Running Springs fires, which they haven't stated a cause for yet. They should stake him down by one ankle in an open grassy field and let him experience a nice controlled brush fire first-hand. I saw FBI & others in a serious roadside investigation somewhere else, too, today. Didn't hear which fire that was.

Anyway, it's a nightmare and tragedy of the hugest proportions, and I hope all ends up okay for you Frank, in San Diego. I know I'm not alone. No humor in THIS one.
