All very quiet around here, isn't it? Has everyone's tapes busted at
once?

Nawww, #805 is fine. It's the Minimoog that's giving me grief right
now.

OT: If anyone cares (I've already bothered Don and Mark about this :-
) ):
- I fixed the OSC 1 square wave being gone (yay), shorted transistor
- I've replaced the Pratt-Reed keyboard bushings (thanks to Rich at
Archive Sound)---Major difference!
- OSC 1 still way too high by about 4-5 times (intermittent)...Kevin
L. (Synthfool) had a suggestion I need to look at---may not be that
blasted hardtoobtainium SG3821N (which has a new obtainium LM-series
substitute---yay!) but a lowly 741 op-amp, which I have looked at but
can't see anything weird about---will have to look harder or just
replace it out of principle
- Squirrely keyboard...notes of a certain frequency (usually A, Bb,
or B, depending on how the tuning is) send the keyboard CV input on
the OSC board into a tizz...I don't think it's the keyboard but
something in between.

At least poking around in that thing is a LOT more fun than
working...which is *another* reason why the list---and M400 #805---
are so quiet. :-(

...kl...Minimoog #6128 (not on top of M400 #805---well, only once,
for a giggle)

Hi All, Have decided to "de-lurk" for a bit. I'm busily working away in
my basement-workshop to complete "Julia" ,and breathe life into her
sometime in the next 6 months. Then, the only known Mark-I in the
USA (for the moment) shall be amongst the extant machines.

Hmm....I also thought of placing the MK-I atop a MiniMoog once for
laughs. All I got was a pancake of squashed electronic guts.
....Or should the MiniMoog be on top instead? Can't remember....

Cheers, "Professor Frankentron" and Mellotronic progeny.....

P.S : What do you get when you combine boat motor parts and
Mellotron bits? ..........the famous "Amphi-Tron!".....

I saw Yes on August 11, and there were no tron samples to be heard.

Thank you-thank you very much.
