Fw: Chamby 300

I thought Roger Manning's M-4 was pretty much
cherry, too.
This is the one that was in England I am pretty friendly with
Richard Chamberlin and I was going by his words that his father made one 300
only. Weather two or more were built or not I can not confirm but it has
been said by others for years that only one was made. The are several 300
remotes out there as I owned two of those. A few of the 300 remotes were
converted to standup machines. I also own a mint M-4. I think mine is the only
survivor that is clean and original. In any case, my old 300 blew away sound
wise my Trons and all my M-1’s I just did not like the way it
looked. I still go for the Mellotrons in white. I do not even like the MKII for
the same reason. Those older machines remind me of garage sales. MY former
Chamberlin 300 was also restored perfect without any new finish or remade
parts. That means a lot to me but still it was too early for my
taste.
