Two M400 Auctions on eBay.....One Authentic, One Bogus

Two M400 Auctions on eBay.....One Authentic, One Bogus

2007-09-19 by jkorb@ix.netcom.com

Greetings Everyone, I just happened upon two M400's on eBay moments ago.

Each using exact same text /photos. One seller in the UK, one in Pennsylvania.

I emailed the UK seller to report the other person.

Here are the Auction Numbers, you can look for yourself.

Mellotron M400 Vintage Keyboard Item number: 320160142254

Mellotron M400 Vintage Keyboard Item number: 270167634752

My guess is that the first one is the forgery ......

Anybody make an offer on the "oldest" M400 for sale ? M400 / 170 ?

Regards, -- Jerry Korb (one-of-a-kind. thank goodness...says the Missus )

Hi Clay and Gang, Pls. read the following msgs. from the one seller in UK,
and from eBay Cust.Svc. DUH ??

==========================================================================================

(seller from the UK)

"Hi,

The buy it now price is 600 GBP (1,200$US) including shipping and handling.The deal will be made through an eBay program which will protect both of us. If you are ready for the deal let me know your full name and shipping address and i'll start the deal with eBay.

Let me know "

============================================================================================

(eBay Cust.Svc.)

"Dear Jerry,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your report.

I reviewed your information about the possibility of image and text
theft. At this time, I didn't find sufficient evidence to show that the
member has violated any eBay policies.

Please understand that in some situations members will allow others to
use their images. It's also possible that the members acquired the photo
from the same source or a source that we can't verify. If this is the
case, eBay can't remove the listings. "
