I have one, and love it (note: I also have a
real CP-70, Rhodes, Hammond M-3 and a Wurlitzer). The Hammond
Simulation is great, certainly comparable with all the other hammond
simulators....
And I think the sample sets are awesome as
well.....very expressive, warm....all the things you want. It of course can't
beat the real thing, but as a live keyboard it really is a dream. I suppose the
only real knock on it is the action. It is kind of like an Organ action. I am
totally used to it at this point, but it definitely doesn't feel like banging on
a Wurly or anything. And it doesn't have real drawbars....it has LED
drawbars, which are pretty easy to used once you get used to them.
So I give it two thumbs up as a live board....and I
have used it for recording with great results as well.
If I were to do it again now, I might get the new
Nord Stage Electro or whatever it is called for the weighted keys....but then it
would be heavier! and I am assuming that used, your friend is getting a good
price.

Anyone on the list know anything about this board? A friend of mine, Paul
Sears is in a band called the Muffins. They are thinking of picking one up
used.
