Yup, had forgotten about all three...I just remembered how scary it was on "Syssy". Now I'm thinking about PF that might have benefitted from 'tron. "Echoes" maybe?

The album was "umma gumma"...inside jacket photo.

I'll have to pull that album and check it out...

I recall during the Viet Nam war we used to see photos of USAF fighter jets with all the armaments laid out on the tarmac in neat rows in front of the aircraft...the napalm bombs, snakeye bombs, cluster bombs, missiles - right down to the cannon and machine gun belt ammo in diagonal rows.

The Floyds photo of the musical arsenal was almost a counter statement in it's own way..............

Funky Dung? I've been playing the Atom Heart Mother CD in the car
this week. My family hates it. They do like the track "Summer 68" by
Wright. My 15 year old says "It sounds like The Beach Boys." Good ear.

My family hates it, too. They hate all my prog. I always liked "Summer of '68". That was the first song of theirs that made me start going deeper into their catalog, past Moon and Wall.

It's on the bit after the 'first finale'; they never knew when to stop.
I think it's Strings and Mk II brass, pretty much randomly battered by
Wright.

What's not to like about the cello parts on side one? It modulates
perfectly.

Summer 68 has been a favourite of mine since the day I heard it in 1978.
Some /great/ chord changes on the brass interlude.

Some randomly battered tron flute (reversed) in there too. Nothing
like *a little* chaos.
