Mellotronists

Thanks for all your input. My last time to goof with a tron
was in about 1978 at Arnold and Morgan Music in Garland Texas.
There was a little room (maybe 200 sqft) in the back of the
building and you had to walk up a small ramp to get there.
It was worthing skipping school and driving for 45 min
which I did often. The choir voice was amazing. There
were also arp 2600's and minimoogs to play with.

I'd like to eventually get a tron and even considered buying
the one recently on Ebay since the guy was in Arkansas and
was willing to meet me in Texarkana.

I've even considered making my own and buying some tapes.
It's the type of thing I love to do but it would be a
terrible waste of my time when there are already people
building these things.

If someone is interested in selling me a tron or maybe
trading for one of my giant modular analog synthesizers
then let me know. Because I manufacturer synths I could
offer a sweetheart deal. Of course my preference is to
find one of these within driving distance since I'd be
scared to ship one.

There's no reason to worry about shipping one (right Robert Cervero?),
especially if it has a flight case. Even Ken Merbler's MkII made it all the
way from England to the Merbler Triangle without mishap...except for that
one key...but there were still 69 other ones that were fine.

Seriously, I shipped my FX Console all the way over to Streetly World
Headquarters in Greater Metropolitan Blithbury and back without
mishap...except for the potato chips some damn fool put inside...

Hang in there. One will turn up. They always do!
